First of all, get heavy duty rubber gloves, mask, lab coat and possibly a pair of safety goggles; at this point turn the electronic scales on and, in a glass or ceramic bowl, weighed 128 grams of lye. Then put on the scales the Pyrex container or steel and pour 300 grams of water.

Now, put the Pyrex container in the sink or pan in a bowl and pour the soda water, carefully:caustic soda is extremely dangerous, because corrosive. So do not rush to complete the operation.

Slowly, stir the solution of soda and water with a wooden spoon to dissolve completely soda: the chemical reaction of the solution will deliver the liquid at a temperature of about 80 degrees.

Now cover the bowl and let it cool down in a quiet place.

Meanwhile, put the pot of stainless steel on electronic scales and weighed 1 pound of olive oil, then put the pot on the stove and stir until the oil reaches the temperature of 45 degrees.

At this point, measure the temperature of the soda: when even this touching 45 degrees, pour it slowly into the oil container and stir the two mixtures with a wooden spoon.

Now we have to blend the SOAP paste, premulsionarla and start the chemical reaction between sodium hydroxide and fat. When the dough has reached the consistency of a custard, what in jargon is called the "Ribbon", you can add whatever you want to make your own SOAP, like essential oils, petals, natural pigments, flours, seeds and much more, natural dyes.

Finally, pour the mixture into silicone molds and cover with rags or blankets to isolate them well, in a way that preserves heat for a long time.
Never mind the SOAP for 48 hours, then remove from the molds and let it mature for at least 7-8 weeks in a cool, dry place: after this time you will have ready-to-use SOAP!
