Most of the flowers don't withstands high temperatures of cooking, so these or are incorporated at the last moment or used only as decoration.

The sunflower when mature, is covered with coarse hair and is inedible. The flower buds are very tender and edible. They can be steamed or even fries! Their flavor reminiscent of artichokes (which is part of the same family)

Laurel vodka

10 g of laurel leaves, 1 dl lemon juice, 1 dl of vodka, 2 teaspoons of sugar

Prepare an infusion by placing leaves in the boiling water, letting it sit for 10 minutes. Strain and add the lemon juice and vodka while it is still hot, but not shaken.
Let rest for at least an hour, then serve by adding sugar.

The Pimpinella plant genus consists hardy annual herbs that reach from 45 to 90 cm in height.

Some common names for Pimpinella include Aniseed and Anise.
